Practical skills for
a happier life
About my practice...
I have been practicing for over 8 years. I work with adults of all genders and sexual orientations. I'm affirming of all types of romantic relationships. I am also well trained in providing trauma-sensitive care. I use methods that are proven to help and which I have completed advanced training in. These modalities are Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
About my style as a therapist...
The first thing I do is get to know you as a unique individual or couple through the assessment process. Then we create a clear plan of action to ensure we know what we are working on and how to track progress. I take a more active approach and I challenge my clients in a supportive way when appropriate. Sessions can vary from having minimal structure when you have a lot to process to highly structured when we're more focused on building skills. I often suggest skills to practice and concepts to reflect on between sessions. I also help provide accountability by following up with you on your short term goals and use of skills.
